Review: Illamasqua foundation

I was previously using Giorgio Armani foundation and I'm not sure why but thought I needed an update I have heard great things about illamasqua so I thought I would give it a go.

Amount: a pea sized amount covered my face.

It stayed in pretty much most of the day and blended so well into my skin you could tell I was wearing make up but it did not have a cake effect. I chose colour 15, which was a great match considering I bought it online.

Overall great foundation even for women of colour I think il be using this all summer.

Wishing Wednesday : Candyfloss

I'm not one for girly tones, but pink is in and its here to stay, for a little style inspo I browsed the web for the best featuring pink hues. Those plimsolls are a steal at £20 although not pink they deserve a feature for the faux fur alone, and they give an edge to pink tones. Hope you like, (links below), what pastel colours are you loving for spring?

2. Laura mercier set: House of Fraser
3. Pandora jewellery: Pandora
4. candyfloss coat: Newlook
5. pink dress:- Warehouse
6: Faux Fur Slip on: TopShop

Connie contours

I look like a little child without makeup!!!! So this fashion craze is appropriate for when I want to turn up the sophisticated and impress.

Although late this was my makeup for valentines day last month so I thought I would do a step by step guide on this look.

I began by moisturising my skin with la Roche posay, effaclar duo.

I then chose a foundation darker than my skin tone and used a smaller brush to fill in the hollows of my face: cheeks, chin, forehead.  : sleek

I applied blusher to the apples of my cheek: revlon creme blush

Using my finger tips I used my mac concealer to cover blemishes and lighten my dark circles around my eyes.

I finished by using a large foundation brush to put my Giorgio Arminians foundation all over my face in circular motions to buff and blend my makeup

Finishing touches included a nude lip by laurer mercier lipstick and my go to mascara by benefit 'they're real'

Have a go, and let me know how you get on.

NEW YEAR WISH LIST

One of the great things about Christmas, is not letting the turkey digest and being hang over on eggnog to head straight to the boxing day sales. This year has been great as the sales have started prior to boxing day online and lets be honest, who needs the hassle of pushing shoving and queuing when you can filter what you need with a click. I'll be doing some new year new me shopping, (always a great excuse for a new wardrobe) from the comfort of my home with left overs and mulled wine. Below is whats on my wishlist. Hope you have a merry Christmas xxx

1. A maxi camel coat..blame this one on Kim Kardashian- net-a-porter.com

2. Jumpsuit - Topshop

3. over the knee boots- Asos

Monochroming til grey

Due to the hot weather it was recommended that we all not give a crap about looking formal at work. It was wear what you want, as little as possible as modest as you can make it.
It was too hot to plan so I grabbed the infamous body on skirt from H&M and my boyfriends loose vest.

I love summer and having a half day meant I could enjoy lunch at somewhere I would definitely recommend.

Enjoy your day guys

vest: boyfriends (similar from h&m or primark)
skirt: h&m
nike blazers: ASOS
