 With summer coming up I have been looking at all the trends and lusting after certain shoes, after previous shows it's pretty clear that comfortability is summers stand out trend, most shoes are flat or with a chunky heel. Above are a few of my favourite picks from this summers trends. It is pretty clear gladiators are back and back in a big way, as is fringing, we cant escape the mule which means edgy chic without aching feet and lets face it everyone loves a beaded embellished flat sandal. 4. Skorts

Not quite shorts not quit skirt, business at the from or party at the back! These get an update in summer with floral and pastel colours. If you don't want a short version you can also get culottes which are basically skirts but longer.

5. Boiler suit

These are perfect if you really can't be bothered to pull an outfit together, ever get an invite that says smart casual? Well this is the embodiment of the anomaly.

TOP 9 SUMMER BEAUTY ESSENTIALS

Body scrub

This body scrub is sooooooo good, I use it 3 times a week whilst having my bath. It contains sea salt to exfoliate and oil to moisturise so you are not left feeling dry afterwards. British summer is the worst so this buffs your whole body for any skin you maybe showing.

Toe nails

Ugly toes and summer do not go. It might only be semi hot, but get yourself a foot scrub now! You can even use the onsen body scrub on your feet.There's nothing worse than grabbing flip flops then realising you have cracked heels and chipped toe nails. Try bright colours on toe nails if anything they will distract from drawing attention to your feet.

Body oil 

Ok you might be thinking why? Summer is already sweaty enough but hear me out. Summer equals bare legs, a little oil weather it be coconut, or baby etc will add a little shimmer to your legs which will reflect sunshine and draw attention to your long limbs. 

Sunscreen 

This goes without saying, regardless of skin shade we are all affected by sun damage in the same way, always go for atleast sp15 and above, and the sprays are also easier. 

Tinted moisturiser 

Want to look natural but still like you made an effort, one of the best and easiest way is tinted moisturiser, it's light coverage and wearable. If you don't want to shell out on a new expensive tinted moisturise like the Laura mercier above, then use a smidge of your current foundation, mixed with your face moisturiser and blend into skin with you hands. 

Lip balm 

No one wants fussy lip hues in summer, you sort of want to look like a disheveled sea mermaid, there are some great lip balms out their atleast under £5. I am current using Carmex. 

Floppy hat 

For non fussy days or lets face it when you really can't be bothered nothing looks more effortlessly chic than a tea dress and floppy hat, plus it protects you from harmful sun rays.

Dry shampoo

And for days when you can be bothered but don't want the fuss dry shampoo is great it gives volume and has your hair feeling clean it smells great too. 

And finally braids

These have come back in full swing, from crown braids, to box braids to fishtails, a few randoms around the head, here's a bit of inspiration below.

TOP TEN THINGS TO DO WHILST IN AMSTERDAM

                                   

As the years moving forward, me and my family are again starting to think of what holidays we should go on and where can we visit. One place that captured our heart including my mini me would have to be Amsterdam, despite it's stereotype for drugs and red lights this place was so beautiful to visit as a family and I wanted to blog about the alternative things to do other than the obvious whilst visiting, especially if you are taking children. Although I am looking at other destinations I would definitely return again even for just a weekend this year, do you have any holiday plans, and where  would you most like to visit?

1. Anne Frank House: This place I do not have to mention was so beautiful yet emotional and educational, alot of people did shed tears as we went through the house and the realisation that Anne died a month before the camps were destroyed is devastating.

2. Sky lounge @ Double Tree by Hilton: This place has the most astounding view, if you want to see Amsterdam city at its prettiest definitely go here, the drinks are nice and the burgers are tasty too.





3. Amsterdam dungeons: definitely a great one for the family, although my daughter got a little scared she loved it


4. Waffle house: after exhausting shopping trips I have to admit i stopped here every singe day, sooooo goood, the ice cream there tastes so good.

 5. Science Museum: this place was so innovative, so many cute things for kids to get them thinking large bubbles, teenage robots and electrifying balls.

6. Chinese place: I cant remember this little place but we found it on a side street it was such good food for good value and perfect after our evening walk.

7. Walk by canals: I would above all things, despite how long or short you may be there or to take a walk down the canals wen it is night time. It looks so beautiful as lights dress the canals and give it a romantic feel.

                                                

8: Rent the peddle-boat: One of the most fun things we did is rent a pedal boat, right opposite the Anne frank Museum you pay a deposited and take the boat out for about 8 euros, you only ave an hour, obviously we got lost with a the similar looking routes, almost hit into a massive boat, but hey one to file away for future stories to tel. So much fun.
                                                                                                           

7. American Apparel Outlet: I'm not sure if this a usual thing but when I visited we took a train out just a little further from the city center and visited the american apparel. Almost everything was like a third off and I got a bunch of staples for 235 euros!!! OO they have kids clothes too.

8. Antiques: A little further from the antique store opposite a supermarket I cant recall was a cute antique store,  A lovely lady was in there and she gave my daughter so many tings free, Initially there was furniture but to the back of the store were cute jewelry trinkets, rugs cushion covers an trinkets, lovely to give your house back home a unique touch. Amsterdam also has the most markets ever, a little further from the tulip museum was a cute market with everything from furniture to vintage boots,



10. Chips: temptation at every corner, lol these paper wrapped fried are your west enemy and best friend all at the same damn time.



We stayed by a hotel in Schipol which was a 15 minute train ride to the city center and cost much less, we booked our fight through British Airways, which ha good deals and stayed for 4 days 5 nights.
