Okay so not exactly two months, but I have until June the 28th, it is my mums 50th and she is doing a big soirée with all the aunts and extended relatives I haven't seen since I was a wee bubba who are sure to comment on my added pounds. Although I wouldn't go so far as calling myself fat , or saying I'm unhealthy and people assure me my shape is fine, I feel that weight has risen not only just after having a baby but also from being a little depressed from losing my job and additionally by the stress of exams which resulted in excessive snacking. I feel that it's time to actually spruce up my wardrobe and have decided that this summer I need to do something about it. I used to be a size 6-8 and I am now a 10-12. I thought I would upload a few pictures for inspiration to anyone trying achieve their summer body.
I have been following a lot of fitness pages.
I have booked classes : I am the worst person to go to the gym I feel I need a fitness routine which makes me feel guilty about quitting, and what makes me try harder than a room full of watchful eyes.
I have cut out rice pasta etc and replace it with quinoa and bulgar wheat and if really desperate gluten-free bread!!!
My mummy left me the best thing ever: smoothie to go I just buy a lot of fruit and veg more veg than fruit especially. And when I feel a snack attack coming along I put it all in the juicer and it keeps me going for the day.
Avocados are my friend not only can they be done sweet or savoury but they are a great accompaniment to sweet potato fries.
Obviously I am not a fitness or nutritionist but just a few things that may hopefully help you as well. Follow me on instagram:@theclothesfiles, for daily feeds (literally).X
